A lot has happened since I last wrote. I got my debit card stuff sent off for reimbursement (yay) and have moved on from the general orientation near Seoul to the provincial orientation in KyungJu, near Ulsan. We end this on Wednesday and get to move into our permanent housing, which is a dorm at University of Ulsan, in my case.
Um we also went to Lotte World, a small Disneyland-like amusement park near Seoul. I had to refer to my pics to see what all we've done. The program was very good to us. They took us on trips and stuff that we wouldn't have done otherwise probably.
The matching couple in the picture are simply the representatives I chose to share from a host of couples who walk around wearing matching tees- it's the cutest thing! The picture of me on a boat is from our first day in KyunJu. They took us whale watching (Ulsan is a port city). This girl is not with TaLK but another program. We discovered we share a mutual friend from OK, which was delightful and surprising.
Our POE (Provincial Office of Education, like Dept of Ed. in the states) took us to Korean BBQ, which is the pic of people on floor eating. It is so delicious! It's pork with a bunch of side dishes. You wrap up the meat in a lettuce leaf with the many side foods, like kimchi, sauces, coleslaw, or tofu, and of course rice.
The last picture is my bathroom, which is typical of a Korean bathroom. That shower head that is connected to the faucet is the entire shower. You pull a knob and the water transfers to shower rather than faucet. You just get the bathroom floor all wet, no curtain or tub. Just wanted to show ya! :)
Well I have lots more pictures to share but apparently five is limit per post. I'm doing well, thanks for keeping up with me.
